When you optimize an article well for a keyword that gets tons of searches and it enters the top few rankings, you can easily get 20,000 plus views for an article. So if you want to focus on one article and really get serious results from it, spend a few hours writing it, optimizing it for your chosen keyword and then linking to it once it's 'live' on the article directory. That will give you the best chance of shooting up the search engine rankings and funneling in the traffic from the search engine.
