Three Things You Must Do Before You Submit To Article Directories

To all writers and non-writers out there, now is the time to start digging up those creative writing skills. With modern communication technology comes the popularity of information-based marketing, which is one of the oldest and most effective techniques in getting targeted prospects to sites and converting them into buyers. Article directories are one of the best kept secrets for getting top Google rankings quickly and are exploding up almost everywhere. Article directories are HOT and getting tons of traffic every day for doing nothing but being there. They have become one of the critical tools in your SEO strategy. However, not all article directories are equal. Articles listed on the article directories are indexed by the search engines and show up on searches. Most article directories are free to submit to. I understand that links from article directories are very good. Mind you, its our duty to mention here that not all article directories are going to accept your article or not all publishers are going to publish your article. As you well know Article Directories are one of the primary places article publishers (like yourself) go to submit their articles!

Building

Nearly every professional search engine marketer considers article submission as one of the main part in their link building process. To do this, you can use link building directory submission services or promote link building by submitting to article directories manually. While there are pros and cons to each method of creating inbound links, you will find that using link building directory submission services is very different than promoting link building by submitting to article directories.

Link

Link popularity is crucial for search engine rankings. Linking campaigns can be boring, repetitive, and, if done correctly, incredibly successful. Link to your pre-existing pages if only they add value (so you write your article in that way) to the current article and use the anchor text specific to your website or web page. By submitting articles to announcement lists, directories and directly to websites looking for fresh and unique content is a fantastic way to build your "authority" in the market you have chosen and also build links back to your website. You need to have one-way links pointing back to you, and submitting articles is the key to get these valuable links.

Marketing

Submitting articles to Article Directories can be an effective part of your marketing and publishing plan. When it comes to running a home based business you can concentrate at least 90% of your marketing efforts on writing good articles and submitting them to article directories, this is how effective this marketing method is. The TRUTH is: Article Submission will definitely BOOST your Internet Marketing Campaigns by generating backlinks and traffic both. This information should provide you with a good start on researching articles and submitting your online marketing articles to some of the better directories. Like any effective practice for search engine marketing, webmasters all over the world have abused this system, and many directories are flooded with poorly written articles designed for no purpose other than building links.

Quality

Quality articles get lots of publication credits. Getting quality articles written will be expensive up front, but they will pay for themselves in no time, either through affiliate sales or selling your own services, and everything from then on is pure profit. Steve Moore, who has become an online friend, tells me that he turns away a lot of articles because he specializes in quality articles for readers and publishers. These directories can be a powerful method of getting quality inbound links. By writing & submitting a quality article, you are not just informing your potential customers about your service, but are also sharing your knowledge with them. They also provide you with quality link backs. A quality article with good information goes a long place over the Internet ensuring loads of one way incoming links, high position in SERPS and permanent traffic propelling your website to new heights. Many inferior article directories have sprung up that serve no purpose other than to spread low quality content in the hopes of building inbound links. Submitting quality articles to trusted directories, using effective link text pointing to well chosen URL's on your website cannot be automated. Apart from creating quality content, one of the key to SEO is Link Building.

Article directories are the hottest thing right now in the web content business! Article directories are set up not just for us to submit our articles to, but it's also there for us so we can get tons of articles to beef up our website's content. Article directories are like free link brokers. Article Directories are hungry for content and are always looking for fresh NEW content to add to their databases for their readers, webmasters and for newsletter and e-Zine publishers. Article directories are one of the main ways that people create a successful Internet presence and build their businesses.

There are many article directories on the internet today - some good, some not so good. Just be sure of one thing: to submit to QUALITY directories - don't worry so much about PR with an article directory - that will come with time, and many times it's advantageous to submit to low-PR directories in order to build stronger long-term backlinking with those sites that will be a higher PR in the future. Have you ever wondered why radio stations use jingles? A mini-song (jingle) is played several times each hour. Listeners can get to the place where they know that jingle by heart and can sing it even when the radio is off. The jingle is used going into a weather break or back into music. The jingle seems ever present on radio, but why?

The reason many radio stations use the jingle is the same reason online business conforms to Search Engine Optimization (SEO). The more you tastefully use either the jingle for radio or keywords for your business website the more visibility you generate.

If done correctly the keywords that you use in the totality of your content will be very apparent if the reader is looking for it, but undetectable to most readers. That means that the content is not 'stuffed' with keywords or key phrases. The content should flow very naturally without feeling as though you are tripping over the same words over and over again.

It's the same way with radio jingles, they are audibly present, but should mesh well with everything else that is offered on the airwaves to allow the repeated message to be absorbed in an acceptable way.

SEO can be a bit like picking the best keyword to brand your site and utilizing them to your advantage while making sure the overall content of your site is worthwhile to your site visitor.

We've all logged into sites that either overdo the keywords or have content that is less satisfying than it would be if they would stick to the primary directive. Not only is it no fun to try to read from these sites it is also a key motivator in deciding not to return.

One of the secrets to SEO keyword phrasing is to write an article that conveys a thought. Structure your descriptions and company data to help the reader clearly understand what you do, while the infusion of keywords takes a necessary second place. Yes, keywords are vitally important, but not at the expense of losing prospects just when you get them to visit your site.

In a best-case scenario the reader should have no 'first blush' clue as to what your keyword or phrase is. They begin reading your content because they believe it will assist them in understanding the product or topic better. The information should be sound enough that the consumer leaves satisfied that they found quality information.

This can be a thin line to walk, but it is important to give search engines the keywords they need to rank you without making your website something that attempts only to cater to search engines. Real people will be reading your site as well.

Many businesses that try to stuff keywords into their content are often losers on two fronts. First they do not appeal well to consumers that will actually be the ones making the buying decisions. Secondly as search engines continue to refine and advance their methods of selection they will often detect 'stuffing' and penalize the site accordingly.

Keywords can help consumers and search engines connect with your site, but just like jingles on radio there is a need for quality content in between.

Whether you are promoting products and services to your website, or you simply want to establish yourself as an expert on your field, you need online users to visit your website. It's because there is the likelihood of closing a sale when you have more visitors on your site. Thus, you a need a strong and effective marketing strategy to give your website the exposure it needs so it can easily be accessed. Among the traffic-generating tools being used today, article marketing remains supreme. It's because it lets you showcase your knowledge by discussing topics that you are an expert on. In addition, its a great way to satisfy your reader's hunger for information. Here are the 3 high powered secrets to multiple your article marketing:

1. Produce well-written articles. The quality of your articles determines the success of your marketing campaign. So make sure that your articles are well-crafted, grammatically sound, free from spelling errors, flow well, and most importantly, factually correct.

2. Focus on your topic. Make sure that all your information are geared toward explaining your central topic. It would help your marketing strategy better if your topic is relevant to your offerings so you can persuade online users to visit your site or your sales page. One great way to do this is presenting problems being faced by your target market, and then present your products as solution.

3. Hire a ghostwriter. In article marketing, the more articles you submit, the better. Its because you get much more back links to your site and provide much more information to your readers. But writing 5-10 articles a day can be tedious. It will not allow you to do other marketing campaigns to better drive traffic to your site. To make this possible, I suggest that you hire a ghostwriter who can produce equally great articles. This will help you speed up the process of getting traffic to you site and at the same time establish your self as an expert.

A high ranking in the search engine is very important to any webmaster on the net. It is without doubt the best place to have a searcher on the internet find your website. If you wish to have swarms of free traffic coming to your website on an ongoing basis, then you need to make sure that your keywords are placed in the top 1-5 positions when a search uses the keywords you use to optimize your web pages. So how do we get high rankings in the search engines?

First off, you need to make sure that you have your web pages fully optimized for the search engines so that they understand exactly what your website is all about! The search engines need to know what your site is about in order to display your pages to the searchers. How do they do this? They can identify what your web pages are about when they look at the title tag, the header tags, bold tags and the keyword density within the text content. Basically, if you are targeting a keyword like "Salmon fishing" then you will want to include it in the title tag, header tags and throughout the content both at the top and at the bottom.

You then need to acquire back links for your web pages. In case you are unfamiliar with the term back links. A back link is when a website/web page has a link in the form of an anchor text of your url pointing to your web page. This in the eyes of the search engines is classed as a vote to your web page. The more votes you get from other web pages, the higher you will climb in the search engines. However, it is advised that you try and get web pages that have a high page rank with a your link pointing back to your web page or site.

Not every website can give you a quality vote. If you get a vote from a website that has a high page rank it will be more beneficial to you. Just be careful of websites that can actually damage your ability to rank high. Most of the time, these sites are spammy and linking to them will harm your rankings!

Following these guidelines you should be well able to boast your keyword optimized pages in the search engines. It important to make sure you are on top of the game and your competitors.

I use a piece of software that really helps me with my SEO on my websites. It saves me a lot of time and money and boasts traffic to my sites. Making Money with Your Blog!

Ever heard of the phrase 'the money is in the list'? Well, it's true. But the big money is in a big and responsive list. Learning how to build a huge and responsive list will hold you in good stead and build you an online business that you can depend on to pay your bills, fund your holidays and get you new 'toys'.

Here's how I build a massive list in the shortest time possible: I unleash a flood of short, informative articles on the web. Whenever I launch a new website, this is what I do. I get as many articles out there as I can. I either write them myself or I hire a writer to do it for as little as three dollars per article.

Why does this strategy work? People go on the Internet to look first and foremost for content. And articles form a main part of all of the content online (although videos are starting to gain in massive popularity).

I work this strategy by submitting my articles to some of the most popular article directories on the Internet. These directories receive hundreds of thousands of visitors each and every day and that's a lot of traffic to tap on.

Your articles are also viral marketing machines. Publishers can reprint the articles you submit as long as they keep your resource box (which will have a link to your website). This allows you to spread your reach across the Internet really quickly. That's why I call them viral marketing machines.

This is

This is a problem we face since the so called Duplicate Content Theory. Article submission to hundreds of websites is no longer effective and also dangerously bad. Is that correct?

When you submit your article to a 100 directories, search engines than find 100 links to your site (in a day) all with same anchor text. They consider this as spam.

But, most often article directories do not approve your articles instantly, some take a day, others a week so you won't get too many links at once. So you can still use a software to submit your articles, and the more you submit the more backlinks you get. That's the great thing. There are no bad side effects by doing this.

Secondly, you should change the anchor text often. Put a keyword in the anchor text.

Here's the best method to get one way links using articles:

1) Create an article.

Then post the article on your blog or website. Your website needs new content create a new page for each article. Then put a link to each of your articles on a page which you may call Articles. Do not link to each of your article pages from your homepage, keep everything well organized both for search engines and your visitors.

2) Wait until the search engines index the page with your article, that way the article is now yours. Search engines now know that you are the owner of the article. To get the page indexed fast you can link to it from the sitemap or from the homepage until it gets indexed, then remove the link.

If your website is brand new, skip this step and do not wait until the article gets indexed before submitting it to article directories.

3) Now you can submit your article to major directories.

Finally contact webmasters that are publishing articles on their website and ask them for a link exchange. This may be the most difficult part, that is why I skip it or work less on it.

You can though use some services or forums where you can swap articles with other webmasters. That is much easier.

4) Check to see if others are using your article on their website without using your bio information. :) This may be a good idea to do, because you can contact them and let them know and at the same time suggest to them your other articles.

Do not worry if people put your articles on their websites without linking to your site. It does happen to all of us, and you waste time struggling with these things. However it's good idea to contact some who posted your articles, and tell them you have more.

Tell them they can also put your other articles on their site. Or better yet, tell them you wish to become an author for their blog or website, so you can post whenever you want.

And you always get a link back to your website from each article. And remember when you post articles in directories add something like this at the end of the article:

CopyRight All rights reserved

That's how article marketing helps you to get one way links. Remember, many theories spread like wildfire, but not all of them are genuine.
